About The Liberia Business Registry

The Liberia Business Registry was jointly established in partnership with other Government of Liberia(GOL) Ministries / Agencies involved in enterprise formalization processes. Liberian non-resident domestic corporations are governed by provisions of the Business Corporation Act of The Associations Law, title 5, of the Liberian code of laws revised.

Hon. Samson M. Dee is the Registrar General of the Liberia Business Registry, appointed by President George Manneh Weah on March 8th, 2018. Dee, a seasoned tax administrator with over a decade of experience, has extensive knowledge of Liberia’s tax laws and policies, as well as expertise in domestic tax administration and management, including direct and indirect taxation. He also has experience in collecting non-tax revenue and administrative fees. Dee holds a Bachelor of Business Administration in Accounting and a Master of Business Administration in Banking and Finance, and has received several professional certificates from the East Africa School of Taxation. Prior to his appointment at the Liberia Business Registry, Dee held various senior positions in the Ministry of Finance and Liberia Revenue Authority, including Director of Registration, Returns & Services Unit and Manager of the Sector Ministries Section.

Throughout his career, Hon. Dee has demonstrated a strong commitment to improving the tax system in Liberia and has made significant contributions to the development of the country’s tax policies and administration. He is well-respected in the industry and has earned a reputation as a knowledgeable and dedicated public servant. With his extensive experience and expertise, Hon. Dee is well-positioned to lead the Liberia Business Registry and to help further strengthen the country’s business environment.
